Cold and dry weather can cause our knuckles to split and crack. This salve is designed to be thicker to help lock in moisture and heal broken skin throughout the winter. Plantago leaf has an anti-inflammatory effect on skin and thereby is useful in soothing and helping along healing and growth. Borage oil is esteemed for its ability to calm redness and dry skin. Cedarwood echoes these benefits as it helps treat wounds, pain and inflamed dry skin.

֎ In the village of Sis, cedar bark and dirt were mixed and used to help dry and itchy skin. Plantago or plantain leaf’s benefits were documented both by Amirdovlat and folk medicinal texts. It was used to treat skin inflammation, swelling and as a topical application for burnt and broken skin. The same folk medicinal text mentions using borage (a native type of wildflower found in Armenia) topically to soothe eczema along with pine resin.

Ingredients:
Borage and plantago infused grapeseed oil, cedarwood essential oil, pine essential oil, vitamin E oil, beeswax.

.3 oz tubes
(tubes are made with biodegradable and commercially compostable plant-based polymer)
